After Saturday’s hard charge at the top of the 2011 European Open Leaderboard, David Feldberg recalled a previous PDGA Major, when he had to “sleep on the lead.” Unfortunately for him, he lost the lead on that fateful day and finished second.
This past weekend, Feldberg felt very comfortable only two throws off the lead, sharing with our field reporter Brian “Guru” Hoeniger, that he would rather be the hunter than the hunted. And that approach to Sunday’s Final Round at the 2011 European Open in Nokia, Finland suited Dave Feldberg just fine, as he went on to quickly make up the two-throw deficit, forge a two-throw lead for himself, and then take advantage of Paul Ulibarri’s missed 25 feet putt on 17 and and out-of-bounds drive on 18 to win his 2nd European Open.
